Quirkiness


This morning I learned about a 19th century double bass player who had an extremely busy solo career.  He no longer had any family (don’t know why — dead or estranged?) and apparently had no friends (this can be a problem with musicians who tour almost constantly), but he traveled with several life-sized canvas doll mannequins.  OK.  This fellow was definitely adept at amusing himself….
